Self-host license
Run Costometer on your own Cloudflare account.
The hosted service at costometer.app is the easy way in. Self-hosting is for people and businesses who want the whole thing on infrastructure they control, including their bank transactions.
What self-hosting means
You deploy Costometer to your own Cloudflare account: your Worker, your D1 database, your secrets and your domain. Your garage data lives there, not with us. You run the updates on your own schedule.
The source code is available to read under the Business Source License 1.1. You can study it, change it and try it out, but running it in production, including self-hosting it for yourself, needs a commercial license from Simple Technologies. Each version converts to the Apache License 2.0 on its change date, which is 2030-09-13 for the current release.
What's included
- Everything on the hosted service: the calculators, the garage, costs and maintenance, reminders, recurring payments, lifetime reports, LubeLogger and Fuelly import, passkeys, email digests, Laberty printing, your own AI key, and Tesla and Smartcar connections using your own developer credentials.
- Bank transactions through your own SimpleFIN Bridge. Car payments, fuel and charging purchases come straight from your bank feed into your garage.
Why bank data is self-host only
Bank data is sensitive, and we don't want to hold it. Keeping it off our servers means the hosted service never stores anyone's bank transactions. When you self-host, the SimpleFIN connection runs in your Cloudflare account and the transactions stay in your database. SimpleFIN Bridge is a separate service you sign up for and pay for directly.
